Who are the 5%?
October 10, 2024
We are excited that another family in Bridge of Hope moved into housing! While 95% of the families we serve in Bridge of Hope are headed by a single mom, the other 5% are families headed by a grandparent, single father, two parents, or an older sibling.
We recently began serving a family that is a single dad and his daughter – a first for Bridge of Hope Lancaster! Individuals from several churches that already knew the family formed a Neighboring Volunteer group to come alongside them on the path out of homelessness.
One of the volunteers knew of a house that was soon going to be available. It turned out to be a good fit for the family, with affordable rent and located in their current school district. They recently moved in! All of the pieces that were needed came together in God’s timing for this family.
