Is it too late to celebrate Mother’s Day?

June 14, 2023

Will you celebrate Alexandra*’s accomplishments? She is a single mom with three children, neighbored by Christ Alone Fellowship. When Alexandra came into Bridge of Hope, she was not sure if her family was going to be able to remain in their home, as the rent became too high for a single income family. With the support of Bridge of Hope she was able to stay in her housing. Having already had an LPN degree, she found a higher wage job in nursing. She also participated in Bridge of Hope National’s Micro Education Grant to continue her studies to become an RN, which she hopes to complete in a year. She expressed how thankful she is for the support of Bridge of Hope and her Neighboring Volunteers. Through receiving rental assistance and budgeting skills, she was able to pay off her car loan and maintain stability for her family. Congrats, Alexandra!

Last month moms in Bridge of Hope experienced relaxation and pampering at a Mother’s Day event! To show appreciation to the moms we serve, who juggle so much every day, they were celebrated with some treats and pampering, along with a gift basket and mini rose plant. A special appearance by Julie Martin, who is a licensed massage therapist at Back to Wellness LLC provided relaxing massages. The participants loved the massage and it was neat to see them experience a sense of relaxation. It is most definitely not too late to celebrate mothers, any day of the year!
